Yolonda Lavender – Soulful music at the Library

Yolonda Lavender is a national recording artist with the independent label Truth Tone Records. Hailing from Kalamazoo, her sound is soul-based with gospel, R&B, hip-hop, blues, and jazz influences. She has shared the stage with artists like Erykah Badu, Keith Murray, The Spinners, En Vogue, and is now bringing her music to Hackley Public Library.

Left to Write - Creative Writing Group

Do you enjoy creative writing? Are you inspired by innovative thoughts and ideas? Become a part of 'Left to Write', HPL's own Creative Writing Group! Here you can share your own stories, participate in exercises, and meet other creative writers. This group will provide a low key atmosphere for writers of all experiences. Everyone is welcome, so feel free to tell your friends! Bring your own paper, and your favorite pen! This group is facilitated by Donna Iverson, and is a bi-monthly group, meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, 3:30 to 4:30 PM.
