Computers at HPL:
We have 16 Internet computers on the main floor, and 4 in the Youth Services department (which are reserved for kids), as well as 2 word processing computers on the main floor, and a handicapped accessible station with Internet and word processing. Patrons who have a current library card from any Lakeland Library Cooperative member library may use the Internet computers for 1 hour a day, which can be extended if the computers aren't busy. Adults without a card can ask for a guest pass, which allows the user 60 minutes a day, which can also be extended if the we are not busy. Children from 6th to 12th grade without a card must show their school id to use the computers on the main floor.
The word processing computers may be used without a card and only have a time limit when we are busy.
Black and white printing is available for 15 cents per page, color printing is $1 per page.
We have free wireless access for those with their own laptops or tablets.
Computers turn off 15 minutes before closing. Please be sure to save your work to your own removable device (flash drive, for example.)
Have an e-reader? We can help! Ask at the Technology desk.
