Junior Girl Scouts

Hackley Public Library has many resources for Leaders and girls working on badges. HPL has craft, career, and country books, books on folklore, famous people, growing up, pets, games, history, local lore, states, different cultures, hobbies, cooking, biographies; just about anything you need to learn about. HPL also has a computer center that children may use to play games and do research.

Some specific badges that HPL can help with are:

• Local Lore: find out about a legend in your community, locate an old map, and learn about the communities history.
• Computer Fun: Talk to someone who uses a computer.
• Books: Explore the Library’s resources, visit with a librarian.
• Caring for Children: ask a librarian for 5 books that children would enjoy.
• Write all about it: Participate in our annual “Write For Fright” scary story contest.
