Water: Paintings by Sheryl Budnik and Mary Sundstrom
From a placid, introspective pool to a roaring, ship-wrecking beast, water is the subject of paintings by Michigan artists Sheryl Budnik and Mary Sundstrom on exhibit in Muskegon Community College’s Overbrook Gallery from Sept. 25 through Oct. 26, 2017.
The gallery, located on the MCC main campus at 221 S. Quarterline Road, is free and open to the public. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, with special weekend and evening hours during performances in the adjacent Overbrook Theater. A free public reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 4-5:30 p.m. in Overbrook Gallery with a gallery talk by the artists at 4:30 p.m.

Fifty employers will participate in the Job Fair being hosted by Muskegon Community College on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Collegiate Hall. The event, which is coordinated by the MCC Career Services Office, is free and open to the public. Participants are asked to bring resumes and to dress appropriately for interviewing. Diane Penning, soprano, with Paul Langford, tenor/piano performing Broadway hits. This concert is free and open to the public. Light refreshments are served for free, and one can bring a bag lunch to enjoy before or during the concert. A few minutes of prayer will be held shortly before the concert.
