The parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, with a 9:30am step-off time. It’s short (3 city blocks), but performing groups who are willing to do so are invited to stay and perform at the parade’s conclusion, in their parking lot. The stage will be used to “accept” each group’s donation of food items and/or winter wear, and they will thank and acknowledge each group individually at that time. Non-performing organizations will have the opportunity to share information about their group, if they choose to do so.
Courtyard Concerts is pleased to announce its partnership with the Grand Haven Farmers Market and the Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg Chamber every Saturday til the end of October. Courtyard concerts is coordinating all of the music and providing the sound. Local artists include Chris Wiser, Ruth and Max Bloomquist, loren Johnson, and Plain Jane Glory just to name a few. These are shine only events and music will be performed between 10 and noon.
Gather your friends and family to experience vibrant fall colors at the Depot-to-Depot Fall Color Tour! This free, self-guided tour happens from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on October 7, 14, 21 and 28. “Color Tourers” can pick up a map at either the Muskegon County Convention & Visitors Bureau or the White Lake Area Chamber/CVB. Visit stops along the way to win great prizes! Refreshments will be served at both the Muskegon and Whitehall Depots and kids will receive a free pumpkin that they can decorate on-the-spot.
October 18 – 21, come to the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor for “Tempting Tables: Tablescapes and Collections!” Tempting Tables is a grassroots volunteer organization that showcases exquisite, elaborate and creative TABLESCAPES. This is a fundraiser with 100% of the ticket proceeds benefiting breast cancer research in Michigan.
